Snapchat: change username - here's how

You can have two different names on Snapchat. The username you used to register your account cannot be changed. You can change the display name that is shown to other Snapchat users at any time. You can find out how to do this in this article.

Change Snapchat display name

Note: Your new name will only be shown to users you have not yet added as a friend. Your existing friends will still see the old name. If users have also saved you as a contact in their address book, they may see your address book name.

Follow these step-by-step instructions or take a look at the quick start guide.

1st step:

In the Snapchat app, tap the in the top left male.

In your profile, tap on the top right Gear iconto get to the settings.

3rd step:

Under “Mein Account” tap on “Name“.

4th step:

Now enter your new display name and then tap on “to save“. Your new name will now be displayed in your profile.

In the Snapchat app, tap the in the top left corner Account-Buttonto go to your profile.
There, tap on the top right Gear iconto open the settings.
Under “Mein Account” on “Name“.
Enter the new display name on. Finally tap on “to save“. The new name is now in your profile.
