In recent months, Twitter, Instagram and even Spotify have been experimenting with NFTs, with tests ranging from allowing users to display their NFTs on their profiles to (in Spotify’s case) allowing a select number of musicians to promote NFTs. that they are selling.
Now it’s Snapchat’s turn. It mentions an upcoming test that will “allow NFT artists to present their works as augmented reality filters on the Snapchat platform.”
“Snap has no plans to charge creators for displaying NFTs… but is considering collaborations with third parties that could help creators monetize their creations.”
We have seen many conversations. at conferences about NFT unlock lenses/filters/effects (remove depending on platform language) on social media, so this could be a move in that direction, even if it’s just a promotional showcase feature for now .
