MADRID, 7 Abr. (Portaltic/EP) –
Snap has launched in collaboration with SignAll the ASL Alphabet lens, which aims to “inspire” Snapchat users to learn American Sign Language by teaching aspects such as its alphabet.
The company claims that this new lens has been developed “entirely by deaf and hard of hearing members” of Snap who call themselves the ‘Deafengers’ – in a simile with Marvel’s ‘Avengers’ (the Avengers), according to your statement.
Snap explains that the ASL Alphabet lens teaches app users to practice the sign language alphabet and even proposes games”to test new skills.
The ASL Alphabet lens is billed as a step up from the hand-tracking technology that was behind another lens launched in 2021 in honor of the international week of the deaf and allowed users to both say their name and common words, among others. those that were “love, hug and smile” with sign language.
Snap hopes that “in a world where linguistic inequity is prevalent, augmented reality can help evolve the way we communicate“.
