Probably no one doubts that celebrities like to be rewarded for their work. However, there is an award that representatives of the acting world are unlikely to want to brag about, namely Golden Raspberries. In Poland, we have our counterpart of these famous anti-distinctions in the form of Snakeswhich have just once again found their way into the hands of representatives of the Polish show business.

In the passing months, despite the threat of the prevailing coronavirus, enough bad cinema has been created in the country to award Snakes again in several categories. Last year, they reigned among the nominees Patryk Vega i Blanka Lipińskahowever, due to the fact that another “work” of the controversial writer is yet to be published soon, this time she was not given a chance. For Vega, however, there was no breakthrough.

In this year’s and already 11th plebiscite, anti-awards in the field of broadly understood cinema were given, among others, by , Małgorzata Kożuchowska, Borys Szyc, Julia Wieniawa, Andrzej Grabowski and Tomasz Karolak. They have won the most nominations, seven in each “Pitbull” by Patryk Vega and “Ściema po polsku” by Mariusz Pujszo. The pop-cultural Academy of Everything “appreciated” also films “Wyszyński. Revenge or forgiveness” and “The other half”.

And so on Wednesday evening just after 9 p.m. at the IMKA Theater in Warsaw the ceremonial gala of handing has begun Snakes 2022. The event was hosted by those returning after many years in a great style Tomasz Karolak, and the presentation of subsequent statuettes was diversified by short performances by comedians.

The biggest winner of this year’s domestic anti-Oscars turned out to be Mariusz Pujszo and his movie “Ściema po polsku”who won “awards” in as many as five categories. The production was distinguished for worst case scenario and worst screen duo. Pujszo was also recognized the worst director last year – beating in this field, among others Patryk Vega – and triumphed as worst actor. In this category, he removed the statuette from under his nose, among others Tomasz Karolak and Ksawery Szlenkier, who were one of the few nominees who were present in the room.

Mariusz Pujszo and “Śjemę po polsku” were also honored with the most important of the awards – A great serpent – for “the quintessence of bad cinema”.

The worst actress was considered Małgorzata Kożuchowska – which outclassed in this category, among others Julia Wieniawa and Borys Szyc. The celebrity received nominations for roles in two productions, but she won the statuette for the film “Wyszyński. Revenge or forgiveness”. However, he received the award for performance under talent Andrzej Grabowski for “Pitbull”. Interestingly, it was the only award for the film by Patryk Vega that evening.
