Mumbai: Indian women’s player Smriti Manthana has achieved 3000 runs in international Twenty20 cricket. The 27-year-old reached the milestone in her career in the Twenty20 match against Australia. The Indian vice-captain scored a half-century against Australia in the match in Navi Mumbai on Friday. With 54 runs off 52 balls, Kutty crossed 3000 in cricket. With the fastest female player to achieve this feat.
Smriti Manthana became the fourth Indian player to complete 3000 runs in Twenty20 cricket. Virat Kohli, Rohit Sharma and women’s captain Harmanpreet Kaur are the other Indian players who have achieved this feat. After Susie Bates, Meg Lanning, Stephanie Taylor, Harmanpreet and Sophie Devine, she also became the sixth woman player to complete 3000 runs in women’s T20.
In the first Twenty20 match against Australia, India won by nine wickets. After losing the ODI series, the hosts made a strong comeback in the first Twenty20.
