SMP: carried out an operation against human trafficking

Through joint action with the National Police of Peru

In a large display of municipal personnel from the areas of inspection, serenity and Health, together with the National Police of Peru, the operation was carried out “high impact” to eradicate prostitution clandestine and human trafficking.

He operational began in the surroundings of Pacasmayo avenue and 12 de Octubre, where the verification of Hotels, Hostels and Lodgingwhere they found more than 30 women who practiced prostitution, some of Venezuelan nationality, being taken to the DESCRIPTION from Spain Avenue.

The establishments that did not have the corresponding documents were closed according to Law No. 28950 (Law against Human Trafficking and Migrant Smuggling).

According to the mayor, Hernan Sifuentesmore than 30 people have also been arrested, for this reason, they have proceeded to close two hotels that were used for sexual exploitation, adding that they are going to carry out operations of this nature to end this bad practice that damages the image of the district.
