New Culinary Delights Arrive at Smorgasburg LA
Among the exciting newcomers is Sad Girl Creamery, a beloved ice cream pop-up from Smorgasburg LAS summer Ice Cream Alley. Now a permanent fixture, they’ll be serving up their signature Strawberry Tres Leches Shortcake Ice Cream Taco, along with tempting treats like Mexican Hot Chocolate S’mores.
Adding an international flair, Hej Hej, a celebrated Swedish hot dog stand from San Francisco, will be making its Smorgasburg LA debut. Expect unique sausage creations, complemented by unexpected pairings like shrimp salad and mashed potatoes.

it’s always exciting to see what new culinary talent Smorgasburg LA introduces each season. This year, I’m especially looking forward to trying Sad Girl Creamery’s Strawberry Tres Leches Shortcake Ice Cream Taco. It’s a unique twist on a classic dessert,and I have a feeling it’s going to be a crowd-pleaser.
Sad Girl Creamery moving from the summer Ice Cream Alley to a permanent spot is exciting news! What else caught your eye?
I was thrilled to see Hej Hej, the Swedish hot dog stand from San Francisco, making its Los Angeles debut. their sausage creations are legendary, and they’re known for their unexpected topping combinations. Swedish food isn’t as common here, so this is a real treat.
It sounds like there’s a great international flavor this season. What about some of the other new vendors? Any hidden gems we shoudl be on the lookout for?
Menchita’s Grill is a must-try for fans of Latin American cuisine.They specialize in grilled meats and flavorful sides. And for those craving a hearty breakfast, Breakfast Dreams is offering up classic breakfast dishes with a gourmet twist.
Smorgasburg LA is more than just food,though. What else do you enjoy about the experience?
Absolutely! The atmosphere is always electric,with live music,DJ sets,and lots of people just enjoying themselves. It’s a fantastic place to spend a Sunday afternoon with friends and family.There’s also some great shopping opportunities with local artisans and designers.
