Surabaya –
The fire in Tunjungan Plaza is under control. But since around 9:20 p.m., smoke has been billowing from the floor that had been on fire.
Monitoring detikJatim, Smoke billowed from the top of the TP 5 building. In addition, smoke also emerged from around the 5th or 4th floor on Wednesday (13/4/2022) night.
Of the 3 skylift vehicles belonging to the Fire Department at the location, earlier when the fire was declared extinguished there was only one 52-meter-high Bronto Skylift working to do the wetting.
As a puff of smoke came out, a smaller bronto skylift vehicle climbed back up to reach the building.
One of the firefighters said that apart from lighting up the small Bronto Skylift, it was also used to extinguish the fire.
The vehicle channeled fire hoses from below for use by officers who were still on standby upstairs.

Not long after the smoke rose again, the Mayor of Surabaya, Eri Cahyadi, went back upstairs.
He went up to the burning floor with the Head of the PMK Service Dedik Irianto and the Surabaya Police Chief Kombes Akhmad Yusep Gunawan.
There has been no further explanation whether there are still hotspots that have not been extinguished or just the remnants of a puff of smoke.
“There is no fire, but smoke is still coming out. We are suspicious. Where does it come from, so far we have not found it,” said Head of the Surabaya PMK Service Dedik Irianto at 20:22 WIB.
He ensured that PMK officers would continue to search for the remaining hotspots. The combing also uses a heat or thermal detector.
“Earlier we detected with a thermal device there was a fire burning. We chased it, it was investigated (investigated), it turns out that the stove (in a restaurant) has not been turned off,” said Dedik.
