This morning there was a slight development of smoke in tunnel shaft 3 (tracks 5 and 6) between Brussels-South and Brussels-North. The fire service immediately started looking for the cause.
Train traffic was held up in neighboring stations around 7 a.m. during the morning rush hour. Some peak hour trains were abolished.
Infrabel now reports that all trains are running again, but it will take a while for traffic to normalize. Currently, some delays are up to an hour.
