Smoke from Canadian Forest Fires Blankets New York City

Ottawa / New York – The numerous forest fires in Canada are also making themselves felt on the east coast of the USA. The smoke from hundreds of fires in eastern Canada had moved south and wrapped New York in a foggy veil, the New York Times wrote late Tuesday evening. Photos showed how cloudy the sky was over the Manhattan skyline. The city issued a warning about poor air quality. After measurements at 10 p.m., New York Mayor Eric Adams said the air had become “very unhealthy” in parts of the city.
