This restricts blood flow to the legs, leading to warning signs. In the earliest stages, when restricted blood flow only begins to injure nerve cells and tissues, symptoms appear during moments of movement.
Reporting from the Express, Friday (1/7/2022) experts at the National Library of Medicine describe symptoms as pain, aches, fatigue, burning, or discomfort in the muscles of the legs, calves, or thighs.
At first, these symptoms appear only when walking uphill, walking faster, or walking for longer distances. These symptoms quickly disappear within minutes of resting, so some people don’t seek medical attention.

This is unfortunate, because the symptoms will only get worse, appearing more frequently over time. If PAD is severe, cramps occur at night, your toes start to tingle, and the sores on your feet don’t heal. One of the complications of PAD is gangrene.
“Gangrene is the death of body tissue due to lack of blood flow. One of the main warning signs of gangrene is a foul-smelling vaginal discharge that oozes from a sore that may be on the leg,” says the Mayo Clinic.
Other signs include blisters, swelling, and skin that feels cold to the touch. There may also be a change in skin color, ranging from pale to blue, purple, black, bronze or red.
Hair also no longer grows on the toes, ankles, or legs, and the skin looks shiny. Early indication high cholesterol difficult to obtain, unless the levels are very high. To maintain levels cholesterol , you should do a blood test through a doctor.
