SME Finance expands the management team in the Baltic States :: Dienas Bizness

Lithuanian financial technology company SME Finance has announced the expansion of its management team in the Baltic States.

The management of the company’s Latvian branch has been entrusted to Jānis Diedišķis, who has more than 15 years of experience in the banking sector.

J. Diedišķis has worked at SEB banka for the last five years, where he held a leading position in providing financing services to small and medium-sized enterprises (SMEs).

Prior to that, he worked for SIA UniCredit Leasing for five years and for Swedbank for five years, where he was responsible for the development of leasing products for most of his career.

I am happy to join the SME Finance team and the entire FinTech community. After fifteen years of intensive work in various banks, it is time to make a decisive decision and new challenges in the rapidly developing financial technology sector in Latvia. With SME Finance, we have set high goals and will try to achieve each of them, because we can already offer our customers a sufficiently wide range of financial services. We will try not only to be competitive, but also to become the best partners for companies that want to grow, ”says J. Diedišķis.

According to Mindaugas Mikalajūnas, CEO of SME Finance, the appointment of a manager in Latvia is a very important decision for the company to move forward. In turn, the experience accumulated by J. Diediškis in the banking sector will allow the company to further strengthen its position in the Latvian market and ensure higher quality of services to customers.

“We are proud that we have entrusted the management in Latvia to a specialist with many years of experience in the field of finance. For some time now, we have been closely monitoring the country’s financing market and new business financing needs and have found that Latvian businesses are increasingly looking for opportunities to obtain financing in the alternative financing market. This turn has created many new challenges for us, but I have no doubt that Jānis’ long-term competence will allow us to successfully cope with these challenges, ”M. Mikalajūns is convinced.

SME Finance, which started its operations in 2016, currently offers companies factoring, leasing services, business loans, business loans against real estate collateral, as well as small loans of up to 15 thousand. in euros. For the time being, only leasing services are not provided in Latvia. At the beginning of the summer, all these financial solutions will also be provided by the neobank founded by SME Finance, which will offer competitive service prices, a fast service delivery process and simple administration.

SME Finance has currently provided funding of more than 570 million. and manages the financial portfolio in the amount of 69 mln. in euros. The company has cooperation agreements with international credit insurers such as Coface and Euler Hermes.
