385Grados / Contla / EDITORIAL / With the aim of promoting and raising awareness among Contense women about the importance of carrying out preventive treatments for this disease, which can be curable if detected in time; The Government of Contla de Juan Cuamatzi, through the Municipal System and in coordination with the DIF State System, will carry out the first breast cancer detection campaign, aimed at women between 40 and 69 years of age, which will be carried out this Saturday, January 14, at the Teatro del Pueblo from 8:30 in the morning to 3 in the afternoon.
The honorary president of the SMDIF of Contla, Vianey Roldán, announced the importance of this campaign; which seeks to raise awareness about breast cancer and provide them with the tools to undergo a check-up, since one of the tasks of the municipal president Eddy Roldán is to work on health prevention.
“The detection of cancer in its early stages offers ample chances of survival and improves the quality of life of women, so it is essential that the population take preventive actions such as an annual diagnostic study in order to be able to act in a better time …” he pointed.
At the same time, he recognized the great support and availability that the State DIF has always shown with the municipal instance and provide these free services, for which he thanked the support of the State Government chaired by Lic. Lorena Cuéllar Cisneros, for endorsing at the beginning of this year its commitment in terms of health.
Likewise, he highlighted that in Mexico, breast cancer is the first cause of death from cancer in women aged 25 years, where one in 12 women has this disease that can also occur after puberty, where the characteristics that are Associated with increased risk of developing breast cancer include obesity, alcohol use, family history, radiation exposure, and tobacco use.
He also invited to follow the instructions of the Ministry of Health to start the self-examination at least once a month, the best time to carry out this operation is 10 days before or 10 days after the menstrual period and in the event of any anomaly observed in your body , they must go to a medical unit to perform the corresponding examinations in order to prevent the risk of major complications or even death.
With these actions in favor of the health of the contense, Eddy Roldán continues to bring health services to the population of contense by emphasizing that today, all women are vulnerable to suffering from this disease; Therefore, the SMDIF endorsed the invitation to attend this call where the requirements to present are a copy of the INE, updated CURP.
Likewise, follow the recommendations to facilitate the study, such as wearing comfortable two-piece clothing, shaved, not applying deodorant or cream, not having any type of metal accessory and should come well cleaned.
