It has not been possible to fly from Prague to the Azores without a stopover. Smartwings will thus be the only airlines that offer this option to passengers.
The line will be available twice a week, always on Tuesdays and Fridays at noon, with the return trip expected to depart at 4:15 p.m. local time. The destination is the largest Azores island, São Miguel. The first flight, which took place on Friday, was fully booked, the airlines said in a press release.
During the summer, Smartwings will offer direct air connections from Prague to a total of 74 destinations. In addition to the already mentioned Azores, new connections will also be made to Izimir (Turkey), Athens (Greece), Brindisi (Italy) and La Palma (Canary Islands).
