Smartwatch provider Garmin is currently struggling with a serious system failure. Users can neither use the services nor reach customer service.
Nothing works anymore with the fitness and wearable specialist Garmin. As the company announces on its website, there is currently a server failure that paralyzes the domain Garmin.com and the service Garmin Connect. The call centers are also affected. “We are currently unable to accept calls, emails or online chats,” the website says.
Garmin sells fitness trackers, smartwatches and navigation devices. Due to the failure, the devices cannot connect and synchronize with the Garmin services. The app is not working properly either.
Media reports indicate that the disruption has been going on since Thursday. The causes of the failure are unclear. There are rumors of a hacker attack.
