Although this trend has become very popular in recent days, the truth is that it was born in early 2020, just when the COVID-19 pandemic began. Back then, many families joined this challenge that consists of showing how people have changed over the years.

In general, the people who carry out this ‘challenge’, which is causing a sensation on TikTok and other social networks, try to recreate a family photo that was taken a long time ago. For example, there are videos where old people try to carry their children (already adults), as they did several decades ago.
The trend became so popular that even the members of Simple Plan decided to join. On their TikTok and Instagram account, the Canadian group shared a video, where we see them recreating (as adults) one of their most iconic photos. They also shared this moving message.

How to make the trend “I’m Just a Kid” for Mother’s Day?
1. First you must get a photo with your mom, preferably in vertical format.
2. If it is possible to visit the place where it was taken, much better; however, it can be in any location.
3. Record a video (6 seconds long) where you and your mom try to recreate the pose in the photo.
4. Go to TikTok or Instagram and create a video. First you must add the recording you made and then the photo.
