SmartLynx Airlines calls for pilot qualification to operate Airbus A320 Press release

The training center of the airline “SmartLynx Airlines” invites those interested to apply for pilot training in the autumn session of 2022. The company provides Airbus A320 series qualification courses and trains the next generation of pilots for one of the best-selling aircraft in the world. After obtaining a qualification, more than 90% of graduates continue their careers in aviation.

SmartLynx Airlines Training Center is a widely recognized pilot training company in the Baltics, providing Airbus A320 series qualification courses for students who have already completed the initial pilot specialty. It is planned to host three groups in the autumn session of this year, 12 pilots will be able to qualify in each of them.

“As part of the qualification course, we provide a full range of pilot training, starting with the first assessment and online theoretical knowledge training, available from anywhere in the world, continuing to acquire practical skills in a flight simulator in Barcelona and basic training with one of our Airbus A320s. “More than 90% of the graduates continue their careers in aviation,” said Oleg Krisovati, vice president of operations resource management at SmartLynx Airlines.

This year, 20 pilots from Italy, Spain, France, Cyprus, Sweden, Germany and Belgium have already completed the course, and 12 more will start training in June. Since the start of the SmartLynx training center, 18 Latvian citizens have also completed pilot qualification courses. The training center admits a total of 60 to 70 students from all over the world each year. Experienced professionals from all over the world are among the teaching staff.

“I wanted to become a pilot since childhood and prove that women can also fly. The Airbus A320 qualification courses offered by the SmartLynx Training Center provide both theoretical and practical skills. During the training, I was most impressed by the basic training in which the A320 simulator “All the instructors are experienced and highly educated professionals in their field, so I was able to provide both a high level of knowledge and good advice on coping with stress during flight simulation. Upon completion of the qualification course, pilots must also complete a standard airline conversion course provided by the company free of charge. In these courses, pilots learn about fire safety, crew resource management, first aid, aviation safety and more.

SmartLynx Airlines has expanded its fleet with Boeing 737 MAX 8 aircraft, and the company’s training center also plans to introduce Boeing 737 MAX 8 Series qualification courses to improve the qualifications of the company’s fast-growing fleet and strengthen its position in flight crew training.
