Harianjogja.com, JAKARTA – Smartfren Business has succeeded in realizing the development of the Smart Village concept in Kulon Progo Regency, Yogyakarta Special Region. The Smart Village was created by utilizing One Touch Unified Conferencing (OneTouch UC), a service created by Smartfren Business collaboration with Zoom. Before the service was implemented, the COVID-19 pandemic made it difficult for the local district government to coordinate to organize education and government agendas. Through OneTouch UC, meeting activities between village apparatus (OPD) operations, village heads, and monitoring of village development can be held virtually.
Apart from that, OneTouch UC also helps to provide counseling for MSME players in various villages in Kulon Progo. Virtual MSME coordination and outreach such as this also helps carry out productive activities of the community, while still ensuring health protocols. Throughout 2020, a total of 29 villages were connected digitally, and as many as 45 others will follow in 2021.
