Viewers have been able to submit all their questions via the site since 2015. Maarten van Rossum, member of the jury in the program, answers one of these questions at the start of each broadcast. Also in this episode Maarten answers a submission, but the viewers can’t worry about the content. However, the sender of the viewer question does loosen the tongues. smartest personviewer Connie Komen from Leiden managed to make the twitterers scream because of the pun in her name.

“Sorry, but I wasn’t the only one hearing this, was I?” one viewer wonders. ‘She Connie Komen so she just sent a question to Maarten.’ Another viewer picks up on this in a hilarious way: ‘She is indeed not there.’ Someone else wonders if this “would be her real name.” Connie’s parents are also briefly in the spotlight: ‘COME and call your child CONNY.’
The smartest person will be broadcast on NPO 2 on weekdays at 8.30 p.m.
