The Federal Authority for Identity and Nationality, Customs and Ports Security, through the system of smart services for residency and nationality, which it provides to customers through its official website and smart application, provides the service of submitting a request to approve the cancellation of the sponsor’s residency without canceling the residency of the sponsored, specifying 6 requirements to obtain it.
The “identity and nationality” stated that these requirements are; It is: “The sponsored person must be inside the country, and the duration of stays for the sponsored must not be less than (90) days, and the residence of the sponsored must follow the new emirate and administration of the sponsor, and it is required not to enter into financial fines to recover the financial guarantee, and the validity period for canceling residence without sponsored persons is ( 29) days from the date of approving the application, and when renewing the residency, the residency of the sponsored must follow the new emirate and administration of the sponsor.
The authority specified 3 documents and papers required to submit a request to obtain a residence cancellation approval service without sponsored persons, which include a “certificate of cancellation from the company (the current sponsor) signed and stamped, copies of passports of all sponsored persons, and a copy of the Emirates ID card for all sponsored persons, front and back.”
Regarding applying for the service, she added that foreigners residing in the country can request service procedures, which include all types of residency, through several methods, which is the website www.icp.gov.aeor the UAEICP Authority’s smart application by logging in with the digital identity or with the user’s name, searching for the service to be applied for, filling in the application data where applicable, paying service fees, visiting customer happiness centers to apply, or visiting printing offices approved by the Authority.
And she confirmed that the application is rejected electronically after 30 days have passed, in the event that it is returned due to the presence of deficiencies in the data or the failure to complete the required documents, and the application is also automatically rejected if it is returned 3 times, due to the presence of deficiencies in the data or the failure to complete the required documents, and only the issuance fees and guarantees are refunded.
