Smart Induction Hobs from AEG: Practical and Durable Home Appliances

Home appliances don’t need to be connected to Wi-Fi to be smart
A great example is induction hobs from AEG
One boasts a durable surface, the other a practical display

Smart home products can be divided into two categories – useless and very practical. The news from Electrolux/AEG, which it presented at the IFA trade fair in Berlin, undoubtedly falls into the latter category. These are smart induction hobs that will not throw unnecessary sticks under your feet, but on the contrary, will gladly help you with cooking and maintenance in several practical ways. I dare to write that not only women but also men will appreciate these cooking gadgets.

Induction hobs for the modern household

The hob with the rather head-turning name AEG 8000 Bridge XT SaphirMatt offers not only an elegant design, but also a special SaphirMatt ceramic glass, which is resistant to scratches and abrasions that can very easily arise from everyday use, for example when dragging pots and pans over the hob.

According to the manufacturer, this surface is up to four times more scratch resistant than a standard hob. Opponents of constant cleaning and polishing of the glass surface will also be pleased with its resistance to stains and fingerprints, which is cleaned up to twice as fast as standard hobs. Another interesting feature is the relatively low reflectivity of the surface – the plate reflects 80 percent less light.

Understated, yet smart

The second novelty, called AEG 8000 Sense Boil & Fry, is particularly impressive with the smart CookSmart display, which assists in cooking and frying, or offers preset settings for preparing various types of food. The Sense Boil function, for example, allows you to set the water to boil in two taps, while in three taps, on the other hand, you can set the Sense Fry function, which selects the ideal temperature for frying food.

However, there are many more smart functions to choose from, for example, you can also set the ideal temperature for melting chocolate or butter. Less skilled cooks will appreciate the Dishes function, which provides step-by-step cooking instructions and helps the user easily adopt new food preparation methods, while the Eco Tips function automatically displays practical tips that help save energy without reducing the quality of the result.

The AEG 8000 bridge XT SaphirMatt and AEG 8000 Sense Boil & Fry hobs will be available on the Czech market during the fall of this year. As for the prices, AEG has unfortunately not boasted about them yet – they will be announced later.
