Smallpox attacked 22 students at SMPN 8 Tangsel

Tangerang: Dozens of students at SMPN 8, Setu, South Tangerang (Tangsel) were infected with the contagious chicken pox. It is believed that the disease is caused by normal patterns of living his life.

“There are 22 students who have been affected by the trout. The Department of Health (Health Service) has dealt with these 22 people through the community health center. It was even planned so that transmission does not occur,” said the Mayor of the Action South Tangerang. , Tabrani, Monday, October 21 2024.

Tabrani said that the South Tangerang Health Service (Dinkes) was investigating cases of the disease that attacked dozens of students.

“Research is currently being conducted by the Department of Health, the results may be reported later,” he said.

Tabrani explained that there are students at SMPN 8 Tangsel who are not sick at the moment doing distance learning. Where SMPN 8 Tangsel is currently under lockdown.

“The school expects that distance learning has been done, to prevent the spread. We will keep an eye on it for the next week, if it is considered ready we will return to distance learning as usual,” he explained.

It is known that chicken pox or also known as varicella is an infectious disease caused by the varicella-zoster virus. This disease is characterized by an itchy skin rash and can spread through direct contact with infected fluids from the rash or coughing and sneezing.
