ROMA – Walking along Viale Europa, one of the most commercial streets dell’Eur, some fan remained amazed at the sight of a boy play quietly in menu sitting at the table of one of the many bars in the area. Amazed because that boy was Chris Smalling, defender of Rome who arrived in the capital two days ago after a grueling negotiation with Manchester United. The Englishman, who lives on the Appia, stopped at play cards along with his two agents, probably after training this morning in Trigoria. “Rome is my home”, he said yesterday via social media, and he is demonstrating even with these gestures: Chris in Rome now feels right one of the house.
