This Saturday evening, at Cloître-Pleyben (29), it was tartiflette evening in the multipurpose room, with a projection of the Miss France show on the big screen, mar plij! A first for this town of 520 souls, mobilized to support and celebrate its first “celebrity”, Noémie Le Bras, 21 years old, elected Miss Brittany last September.
A local child who is the pride of the Cloister and its mayor, Dominique Bilirit: “It’s very good, it gets people talking about the town. And then, she’s a girl, nice, beautiful and warm.”

“Yes, she’s not a bitch like some YouTubers! She’s a natural beauty, she doesn’t need artifice,” adds Maryse, a Cloîtrienne who came with her husband, Marco, Noémie’s former physics and chemistry teacher at the Collège de l’Aulne in Châteauneuf-du-Faou. The retired teacher only has good memories of the young girl: “Charming, studious, very kind, rather reserved and quite a good student.”
Miss France boosts tartiflette
The Miss France effect undeniably boosted attendance at the tartiflette evening organized by parents in the multipurpose room. “A hundred shares on site and 85 to take away, compared to 70 last year,” rejoiced Cassandra, the president of the association, at the helm of the organization. An association to which Laurent, Noémie’s father, had left a few bottles, just to toast his Miss’s health.

It’s a little after 9:10 p.m. when the first notes of the show resonate. The image stops for a few seconds and starts again. Marco, who is also responsible for the projection, adjusts the settings. “We don’t have enough flow. We don’t yet have the fiber…”, breathes the mayor. But that’s it, the image is fluid, the first paintings appear.
Friends as reinforcements
Around forty young people, from Lannédern, Pleyben and Lennon, including those close to Noémie, entered. Jade and Anaïs shared a vacation with her this summer in Spain. They hope for “a top 15”: “That would already be good”. Emeline arrives, who would like to see her as Miss France. Normal, the two young women grew up together and see each other every weekend. His girlfriend ? “A strong personality with a big heart, sparkling and joyful.” “And she loves The Cloister!” », adds Victor, another friend.

It is 10:05 p.m. when Noémie’s portrait is broadcast. Applause in the multipurpose room. Friends are supportive. Changing into a swimsuit, new cries. It’s 10:30 p.m., Émile, in his sixties, has a crush on Miss Burgundy. “She’s Miss France,” he assures, predicting a runner-up position for Noémie.
His prediction is foiled. Noémie will not pass the first barrier. The fifteenth Miss to be selected is Miss Roussillon. Cries of despair are heard. ” Damage ! », says Dominique Bilirit. New applause for Noémie. The evening was beautiful, all the same, and allowed us to sell 110 kg of tartiflette.
