Microsoft has made a few small but practical improvements in the previer version of Windows 11. These include making the clock visible on multiple screens.
In the Windows 11 Insider Preview Build 22509 you can now choose more layout options for the start bar, clock and date. The latter two will now also be shown on a second screen. If you right-click on start, you can also add more pins or an extra row of recommendations there.
Furthermore, the number of notifications will be stacked from now on, showing only three high priority notifications, for a total of four (three high priority and one regular message).
Edge
For Edge, Microsoft has facilitated the narration function (Narrator). This function is useful for the blind and partially sighted, but it is now easier to adjust web addresses by going directly to the address bar via ctrl+L and tapping. The way in which fields are read has also been adjusted. For example, the next letter will be read when you delete a letter. There will also be more context-sensitive information, for example around radio buttons and fold-out lists on the web page.
Also, the latest build also has a few tweaks and improvements in the settings, such as pointing to the correct pages. In Airplane mode, it will now remember whether WiFi and/or Bluetooth were on and a number of bugs have been removed, such as a home button, widgets and chat icons that show too large in some circumstances. You can make all adjustments read here.
It concerns functions in the Preview version of Windows 11. In general, those functions and improvements will eventually also be sent to Windows 11 for all users over time.
