Asus Zenfone 9 specs: small and powerful
The information has appeared through the unknown TechGoing† The website published an official-looking video of the upcoming Zenfone 9 from Asus† The smartphone is shown in four colors: black, red, blue and white. Samsung will be the supplier of the AMOLED screen, 5.9 inches that refreshes up to 120 times per second. Asus again opts for a compact phone, just like with the Zenfone 8.
Under the hood is the powerful Snapdragon 8 Plus Gen 1 chip, the fastest processor at the moment. The battery is 4300 mAh, but how fast it charges is still unknown.
The Sony IMX766 sensor has been chosen as the primary camera. It has a resolution of 50 megapixels and there is also a so-called gimbal-module present. This ensures that especially videos look good and you do not see any movement or blur. Details about the second camera are still unknown, but it is probably a wide-angle lens.
Connections and accessories
The fingerprint scanner is processed on the side and can be found in the so-called ZenTouch button. You use it to easily scroll through web pages and social media. You can listen to music with wired headphones, because the correct 3.5 mm jack is on board. If you don’t want that, you can use the stereo speakers.
You don’t have to worry about dust or water, because the device is IP68 certified. Finally, various accessories are shown, including a cover and an option to easily connect the Zenfone 9 to your backpack with a special mechanism.

Just presented: Asus ROG Phone 6 (Pro)
Last week Asus also presented the ROG Phone 6-serie, consisting of two high-end devices. The two smartphones are aimed at the mobile gamer and are also equipped with powerful hardware and cool gadgets. For example, the Pro model contains a second screen on the back and there are all kinds of accessories for sale, including an external fan.
When we will see the Zenfone 9 is still the question, as well as what it should cost. The Rog Phone 6 is available from 999 euros, while the Pro model costs 1299 euros. The Zenfone 8 came on the market in May 2021 with a suggested retail price of 679 euros.
