The governor of the Minsk region announced the appointment of a new head of the enterprise during a direct telephone line on Saturday.

MINSK, Mar 28 – Sputnik. Chairman of the Minsk Oblast Executive Committee Alexander Turchin informed that the Slutsk Sugar Refinery would soon have a new director, BelTA reports.
Turchin answered residents’ questions during a direct telephone line. One of the questions concerned low salaries at the Starodorozhsky fruit and vegetable factory, which is part of the plant.
“Soon, a new director will appear at the Slutsk sugar refinery, I’m sure he will figure it out. I will also go to Starye Dorogi and see what salary is given at the plant,” the governor said.
Recall that at the end of January, the Belarusian media reported on the detention of the leaders of all four Belarusian sugar factories and a top manager of the Belarusian Sugar Company. Later, other detained defendants appeared in the “sugar case”, more than ten people, one of whom turned out to be Vladimir Tikhin, the former deputy head of the Ministry of Internal Affairs and Budgetary Organizations of Internal Affairs.
In relation to the detainees, cases were opened for receiving and giving bribes. Currently, the investigation in this case continues.
