TEMPO.CO, Jakartaairline TransNusa temporarily suspended its operational activities from 8 to 30 September 2020. This was done because the occupancy rate was not economical.

The owner of the TransNusa business, PT TransNusa Aviation Mandiri, stated that the termination of the operation was also due to considering the high positive cases of Covid-19. “According to Agent News with consideration of positive cases Covid-19 and the level of passenger filling is not yet economical, “said TransNusa President Director Bayu Sutanto when contacted, Sunday, September 6, 2020.

Bayu, who is also the Secretary General of the Indonesian National Air Carriers Association (INACA), also revealed that new airlines will resume operations if passenger demand improves and there is improvement in the development of the Covid-19 case. “We will resume operations depending on the development of the health aspects of Covid-19 and the demand for (better) passengers,” he said.
