Sluck’s production “Treason” will premiere at the National Theater
Riga, Sept. 8, LETA. On September 10, the drama “Treason” by British playwright Harold Pinter, directed by Ināra Sluckas, will be premiered at the Actors’ Hall of the Latvian National Theater.
Introducing the content of the production, Grāvīte pointed out that it is a story about a seemingly classic love triangle, which involves Emma, her husband and her husband’s friend.
“Pinter raises the concept of ‘betrayal’ to a much more complex and ambiguous level. To betray another person is always to betray oneself, and it brings with it frustration in oneself and others, dislike and anger – for everything we have done and what has not been done. All three characters of the play feel lonely in the relationship and try to find the “I” lost in the daily routine, “indicated in the description of the production.
Inga Misāne-Garsberga, Egils Melbārdis, Kaspars Aniņš and Mārcis Maņjakovs will play the role in the production. The set designer and costume designer of the production is Marija Ulmane, the lighting artist is Krista Erdmane, and the video artist is Toms Zeļģis. Tickets for the show can be purchased on the theatre’s website “teatris.lv” and at “Biļešu paradīze” box offices.
