Slovenian Cyclist Tadej Pogacar Secures First Victory in Stage of Tour de France 2023

DUBAI, 7th July, 2020 (WAM) — Slovenian cyclist Tadi Bogachar achieved his first victory in a stage of the Tour de France in 2023, the Cautrettes Kampask summit, and decided the result of the sixth stage in his favor, defeating his main rival, Danish Jonas Wengard of the (Jumbo-Visma) team.
Vingaard took the yellow jersey and Pogachar finished second, twenty-five seconds back.
“I feel a little bit better and better now that I won a stage and got some time back in the general classification,” said Pogachar. So the results went for the better.
Stage 7 will give riders a rest on the 169.9km ascent from Mont-de-Marsan to Bordeaux, with one category 4 ascent.
