The elimination of the Slovakian champion was decided by the goal of the opponent a minute before the end. Olympiakos Piraeus from Greece awaits the Whites in the 3rd preliminary round of the European League.

Slovan did not use the 2:1 lead from last week’s opening meeting in Hungary. The reigning Slovak champion will move to the 3rd preliminary round of the European League, where his opponent will be the beaten team from Olympiakos Piraeus and Maccabi Haifa (first match 1:1).

In the first chance of the Whites, Barsejgan ran into the penalty area, he wanted to find a teammate in a better position, and his pass was blocked by the opponent in the corner. Ferencváros managed to open the scoring relatively quickly and erase the one-goal deficit from the first match.
In the 20th minute, Boli found a cross from the left side and beat Chovan from close range between two defenders. The home team responded almost immediately, Čakvetadze pushed out Barseghjan and he hit the crossbar with a shot from a sharp angle to the near post.

After more than half an hour of play, the guests tilted the development of the double match in their favor. Abena headed the cross only to Mmaee, whose sharp shot was directed into the net by Zachariassen. Before the break, Barseghjan’s handle failed at a key moment.
The people of Bratislava lost their advantage and had to score a goal when they wanted to force at least extra time. At the same time, they should not forget about the back door, after a foul by Kuck, Ferencváros had a free kick near the penalty area, Čivič shot just over.
The guests continued to threaten, after one of the quick counterattacks, Boli stuck Abena in the penalty area and narrowly missed the near post with a ground shot. The score dictated attacking Slovan, but Ferencváros was more dangerous until these moments.

The center in front of the goal flew to a completely alone Traorem, who hit the ball badly and threw away the opportunity for an insurance shot. The Whites were able to punish the opponent for that. In the 70th minute, they won a corner kick, Barsejgan took it, the visiting goalkeeper Dibusz ran out uncertainly, De Marco jumped on the small goal and reduced the score to 1:2 with an uncompromising header.
Five minutes later, the home team had a corner from the opposite side and again got a header at five, this time Kucka headed just over. However, the duel did not reach extra time. In the penultimate minute of regular time, Slovan did not pay attention at the back, after a quick combination of Ferencváros, Traore finished hard, Chovan reached for the ball, but could not clear it. In added time, Laidouni highlighted the triumph of the Hungarian team from a counterattack.
