The drastically deteriorating coronavirus situation and overcrowded hospitals in Slovakia have forced the Slovak government to take unpopular measures, which will be paid for by visitors to sporting events.

According to the new regulations, 200 people in red, 100 people in burgundy and 50 people in black are to apply to mass events for the OP regime (vaccinations and overcoming). The green districts and the orange districts are to be unrestricted for the OP regime.

To enter the OTP mode, the capacity limit for red, burgundy and black districts is six people. Basic mode mass events are to be banned for the red, burgundy and black districts.

In this context, Slovan suspended the sale of tickets to PAOK. In the early evening, the club responded to changes in the maximum number of spectators at mass events.

“Under the new measures, only 200 spectators can be present at the sporting event in the ‘red’ district in the vaccination and overcoming mode.

This decision comes after the club sold tickets in the original OTP mode, had a secured organization, a contracted advertising campaign, suppliers and the like. With this decision, our club incurs huge sports and economic losses, “the club said in a statement.
