Slovakia’s Under-20 World Hockey Championship Final Nomination for Sweden

Slovakian defender Jakub Chromiak and forward Patrik Masnica will not play at the under-20 world hockey championship in Sweden. The management of the national team published the final nomination on Saturday. There are 26 players in it, including three goalkeepers, eight defenders and fifteen forwards.

Coach Feneš has not yet revealed which names he will write on the roster. He has until the first directorate of the tournament to make a decision. It will take place on the evening of December 25.

“There are 26 fighters left here who were given the privilege to represent Slovakia at the Under-20 World Championship in Sweden. It is a great honor and responsibility at the same time. The day before the start of the championship, we will also conclude the roster, we will write all three goalkeepers, seven defenders and thirteen forwards on it. The remaining three players will remain with the team in the position of healthy substitutes.” said the SR coach.

His charges have completed the second block of preparation for the World Cup. After the first week in Zvolen, they completed two warm-up matches in Sweden. In Halmstad they lost to the Finns 1:5, in Mölndal they beat the Germans 6:5 after extra time. On Christmas Day, they will move to the championship venue in Gothenburg, they will play the first duel in the tournament on December 26 from 12:00 in the Frölundaborg Arena against the Czech Republic. Their other opponents will be the Swiss, Norwegians and Americans.
