KUNLUN. Slovakian hockey forward Tomáš Jurčo is leaving the Červená hviezda Kunlun team, where his contract has expired. The club, which operates in the KHL, strengthened during the past season.
Jurčo played 32 games there and recorded 25 points (10+15). The club took the penultimate tenth place in the Western Conference and did not advance to the playoffs.
The Slovak was the team’s fifth most productive player, even though he played fewer games.
Although Kunlun is a Chinese team, in the 2022/23 season they played their home games in Russia’s Mytishchi, Moscow region.
Tomáš Jurčo also worked in the KHL the year before. He played for the Kazakh Barys Nur-Sultan.
The forward has experience in the NHL, where he worked in the organizations of Detroit, Chicago, Edmonton and Vegas. He participated in three World Cups in hockey and was part of the bronze Olympic team from 2022.
The future of the thirty-year-old winger is unknown.
