Slovakia will tighten the border regime again due to delta mutations

All passengers should continue to register electronically when entering the country. People who have not been vaccinated against covid-19 will now have to order a laboratory test for possible coronavirus infection. Compliance with these obligations will be checked by police officers at the borders.

Stricter rules should now also apply to people who regularly commute across borders for work. Some exemptions from the epidemic regulations now apply to this group of passengers.

After an earlier improvement in the epidemic situation, Slovakia allowed its inhabitants to travel abroad on holiday and eased the conditions for returning to the country.

Passengers from the list of so-called green countries, to which Bratislava has included over forty countries, including the Czech Republic, will now avoid quarantine after entering Slovakia if they have a confirmation of a negative coronavirus test result when crossing the border.

The provision that quarantine does not apply to children under the age of 18, to people who have contracted covid-19 in the last six months, and to those vaccinated against the disease have remained in force.

According to Lengvarský, people who have suffered covid-19 will no longer be given an advantage when traveling to Slovakia in the future.
