Slovakia enters quarter-finals convincingly for one of Latvia’s do-it-yourselfers in the Beijing OS group tournament

Slovak hockey players beat Germany in the quarter-finals of the Beijing Olympic Games on Tuesday. Slovakia won Germany 4: 0 (1: 0, 2: 0, 1: 0).

In the first third, the Slovaks were led by Libor Hudachek, while in the 28th minute of the match, Peter Cehlarik doubled the lead. Mihals Krištofs scored 3: 0 in the 29th minute. In the final third, approaching the last two minutes of regular time, any chance of victory for Germany was defeated by Marek Hrivik, who scored the fourth goal. Slovak hockey players took 34 shots on the opponents’ goal, while the Germans threw 21 times.

The Slovaks will meet with the United States in the quarterfinals on Wednesday. The Czech Republic with Switzerland and Canada with China will still be in the quarterfinals on Tuesday. It has already been reported that Latvia conceded to Denmark with 2: 3 (1: 1, 1: 1, 0: 1) and closed the Olympic Games without victories.
