Slovak under-20 hockey representatives failed in the first preparatory match before the Junior World Championships. On Tuesday, they lost 1:5 to their Finnish counterparts in Halmstad, Sweden.

Coach Ivan Feneš’s team will play one more preparatory meeting before the championship. On Friday, he will play in the World Cup warm-up against Germany at 19:00 hv Mölndale. The Slovak expedition will move to Gothenburg on Christmas Day. The first match at the WC “20” will be played on December 26 at 12:00 pm against the Czech Republic
