Slovak heavyweight MMA fighter Martin Buday couldn’t have dreamed of a more attractive opponent for his comeback after his first loss in the UFC.
The legendary Andrei Arlovski is waiting for him at Apex in Las Vegas on June 15. The Belarusian nicknamed “Pitbull” is a former UFC champion, where he holds the record for the number of victories in the heavyweight division. The 45-year-old veteran has a record of 34-23, 23-17 in the UFC.
Arlovski debuted in the UFC in November 2000 at only the 28th tournament of the most prestigious MMA organization. Five years later, he won the heavyweight title and defended it twice. Later, he also faced other champions Stipe Miocic, Francis Ngannou, Frank Mir or Fabrício Werdum. Only Jim Miller has more fights in the UFC.
The seasoned veteran is especially dangerous in his stance, he was able to knock out 17 opponents. However, he lost the last three duels and will fight against Buday for his future in the UFC. After a possible loss, it is not excluded that he will end his professional career.

Buday could not have asked for a more attractive challenge after his first loss in the UFC. The last time he did not get into the match at all, he lost to the previously undefeated Dagestani Shamil Gaziev, representing Bahrain, at the beginning of the 2nd round.
Until then, the fighter from Nitra had the longest string of victories in the heavyweight category in the UFC. He found only the second defeat in his professional career, the first since 2017. The record of the 32-year-old Buda is 13-2.
The Slovak has already briefly peeked into the TOP 15 in the UFC, currently according to Tapology he is the 25th best heavyweight fighter in the world. Arlovski is 31.
