Christmas is not about fairy-tale classics, but also about the world championship in hockey for players under 20 years of age. These holidays, they are broadcast by JOJ on the sports station.
The opening two matches of the Slovaks against the Czech Republic (6:2) and Switzerland (3:0) were watched on JOJ Sport by the largest number of viewers among the program offerings of all Slovak televisions during the duration of the duels.
“On Tuesday, December 26, the opening match of the championship of the Slovak junior representatives against their peers from the Czech Republic became number one on the Slovak market – during this closely watched match, the sports station JOJky was the market leader in both main target groups,” Miroslava Klempová told Aktuality.sk from PR group JOJ.
JOJ Šport repeated the same success on Wednesday, December 27. The victory of the Slovak representatives against Switzerland was watched by up to 367,000 viewers, the third third claimed up to 8.0% viewership and a 28% market share. It thus became the most watched non-news program of the day in the universal target group 12+.
The performance of the Slovak juniors also took first place among the younger audience in the TOP ranking of non-news programs of Slovak television, with a 6.9% viewership and a high market share of up to 30.6%.
JOJ Šport will broadcast all Slovak matches at the junior championship in Sweden. The third group match against Norway awaits the representatives on Friday.
“The live broadcast starts from 11:30 a.m. with the pre-match study. The young Slovaks will end the group stage on New Year’s Eve, December 31, when they will play the USA at the same time,” Klempová concluded.
