Slovak Goalkeeper Adrián Chovan Leaves Slovan Bratislava: Contract Termination and Career Update

BRATISLAVA. Slovak football goalkeeper Adrián Chovan will not continue in Slovan Bratislava.

Both parties agreed to terminate the contract, which was to be valid until the end of the following season.

The twenty-seven-year-old goalkeeper arrived in Bratislava in the summer of 2021. He played a total of 79 competitive games for Slovan, including 39 in the league, 29 in European cups and 11 in the domestic cup.

He kept a clean sheet in 27 cases. Chovan was part of the team that won two championship titles (2021/22, 2022/23) and played twice in the group stage of the UEFA European Conference League, including once in the spring knockout stage.

Chovan made 14 starts in the EKL group stage and in its elimination part.

“We thank Adrián Chovan for everything he has done for Slovan, and we wish him all the best in his future career and personal life,” the club said on its official website.

During the summer, Slovan hired Canadian national team goalkeeper Milan Borjan, who came on loan until the end of the season from FK Crvena zvezda Belgrade.
