Slovak Football Player Fares Shudeiwa to Make Debut in Under-21 National Team – Preparing for Matches with Croatia and Czech Republic

Slovak football player Fares Shudeiwa will make his debut in the under-21 national team. The team of coach Jaroslav Kentoš awaits preparatory meetings with Croatia (November 16) and four days later in Hradec Králové with their Czech peers.

The coaching staff had Shudeiwa in their sights for a long time. His nomination for the previous meetings was put on hold by health problems. “I had several problems. Once they concerned the ankle, then the back thigh muscle. It dragged on for quite a long time, actually a whole year. I’m very happy that I’m finally ready and healthy,” the young midfielder told futbalsfz.sk at the training camp in Šamorín. In 2021, he represented Slovakia in the under-19 category and also played for the Czech Republic at the youth level. At the club level, he works in second division Jihlava. “I am firmly determined that I want to represent Slovakia. I think I know the Czech team very well, I have also played with some of the players from the nomination. On the other hand, I do not know the Croatians at all.” said Shudeiwa.

“I am very grateful that I can be here. First of all, it is a great honor for me, and I am also glad that my health made it possible.” added the attacking midfielder.
