Slovak Biathlete Anastasia Kuzminova Finishes 6th in IBU Cup Sprint Event in Obertilliach, Austria

OBERTILLIACH – Slovakian biathlete Anastasia Kuzminová finished sixth in the 7.5 km sprint at the IBU Cup event in Obertilliach, Austria.

She made one mistake each in the prone position and in the standing position and reached the finish line with a deficit of 1:15.8 minutes to the winning Norwegian Ragnhilda Femsteineviková, who hit all the targets. Second was Oceane Michelonová from France with a loss of 14.4 seconds, and third was Austrian Kristina Oberthalerová, who finished 40.4 seconds behind the winner.

The second Slovak athlete, Júlia Machyniaková, finished with two mistakes and a loss of 2:51.9 minutes in the 34th position. The men’s race was won by Mats Överby with a lead of 39.9 seconds ahead of compatriot Sindre Jorde, and Norwegian competitors also finished in the other three places.

Among the Slovaks, Benjamín Belicaj finished highest in 51st place with a loss of 4:24.1 minutes, Sebastián Belicaj was 75th and Jakub Kováčik took 77th place.
