Slob: schools must check ventilation system | Inland

The first schools reopened in the north and other parts of the country from Monday. The rest of the country will follow in the coming weeks, despite concerns about ventilation in the schools and how corona could potentially spread through the buildings. But while they are already open, schools still have some time to check whether they have their ventilation affairs in order.

Minister Slob writes to the House that they must inform their staff and students about this by 1 October at the latest. According to him, many schools have already checked this, even if it is not yet clear how many schools have the proper ventilation.

Information point

To calm things down, Slob has set up a coordination team, with former union leader Doekle Terpstra at the helm. There will also be a central point where schools can find information about ventilation in schools and ask questions. The existing site weeropschool.nl will be expanded for this purpose.
