Slightly more corona patients in hospitals, number of new infections is falling Inland

There are 195 seriously ill corona patients on the ICs, three more than on Saturday. In the nursing wards of hospitals, 364 people are being treated with corona, five more than a day earlier.

Last 24 hours, eight new corona patients were brought in to the ICs. The nursing departments of the hospitals admitted 32 new corona patients.

Positive corona tests

The National Institute for Public Health and the Environment (RIVM) received 1,694 reports of positive corona tests between Saturday morning and Sunday morning. That is 404 less than last Sunday. The average level over the past seven days continues to fall.

In the past seven days, 14,108 new corona cases arrived at RIVM, considerably less compared to the previous weeks. On average, this equates to 2015 new cases per day.

The number of deaths increased by 3 in the past 24 hours. This does not mean that those people have died in the past 24 hours, because it takes a while before the death of a corona patient is registered.

In Rotterdam, 127 positive tests were counted last 24 hours, followed by Amsterdam (87) and The Hague (68). In Amersfoort and Utrecht, 35 and 31 people respectively received a positive test result.
