SLEMAN – Sleman Regent Kustini Sri Purnomo admitted that he is now quite wary of the spread of polio.
Moreover, previously Klaten Regency, Central Java, which directly borders Sleman, was declared an extraordinary event (KLB) by the Ministry of Health.
Kustini said that polio immunization in Sleman will certainly be carried out in the near future.

This step is in accordance with the central government’s direction for Sleman district to immediately carry out the National Immunization Sub-Week (PIN) for polio.
He admitted that he had ordered the Health Service and cross-sectoral officials to carry out immunization as soon as possible.
This is because Sleman district has the potential to be affected by the spread of Polio after Klaten was declared an KLB.

The number one person in Sleman also said that the government continues to monitor polio. So that no polio cases are found in Bumi Sembada.
Moreover, the geographical conditions of Sleman and Klaten districts are directly adjacent.

Following up on the Sleman Regent’s direction, the Head of the Sleman Health Service, Cahya Purnama, admitted that he had gathered cross-sector officials to support the implementation of the Polio Sub-PIN.
