Sleman Health Office Records 161 DHF Cases, One Patient Dies

SLEMANiNews.id – The Sleman District Health Office noted that throughout 2022 there have been 161 cases dengue hemorrhagic fever (BD) spread over a number of Kapanewon. One patient died, an eight year old boy.

“Until now there have been 161 cases, and one patient was reported to have died an 8-year-old boy,” said Head of the Sleman Health Service, Cahya Purnama, Thursday (9/6/2022).

The highest case was in Kapanewon Mlati with 25 cases. One patient who died also came from the Mlati region. Meanwhile, in Kapanewon Depok, there are 19 cases and in Kapanewon Prambanan 18 cases.

Cahya said the total of 161 cases was much lower than the cases in previous years. Usually in a year the findings can be 400 to 600 cases.

“This decrease is due to the implementation of the Wolly Comfortable program in Sleman Regency, by placing buckets with Wolbachia mosquito larvae, to control the spread of mosquitoes that carry the virus that causes the virus. DBD,” he said.
