The Slavia footballers did not manage the warm-up for the league and lost to the German champions. The team’s new reinforcement, Kateřina Svitková, was introduced for the first time in the match. A sharp start to the new year awaits them next week.
Slávistky was waiting for the last preparatory match before the start of the new league year. Coach Jiří Vágner had to do without several players – Gabriela Šlajsová, Kristýna Růžičková, Albína Goretkiová and Kateřina Vithová, who are out of action. On the other hand, the team was strengthened by a new addition, the experienced Kateřina Svitková, who joined the team.
Unfortunately, the match did not go well for our footballers. The German team opened the scoring in the 6th minute and scored again just four minutes later. By the end of the half, Bayern increased their lead with one more hit, and went to the locker room with a score of 3:0. The second half was dominated by seventeen-year-old Alara Sehilter, who completed a hat trick within twenty minutes. The last, seventh goal of the German team was scored in the last minute of the match and almost ended the unfortunate match.
“Unfortunately, the match didn’t work out for us either in terms of playing or results, and the German team showed its strength. Nevertheless, I evaluate the preparation positively and look forward to the start of the new season, which awaits us next week against Pilsen,” said forward Karolína Křivská after the match.
Slávistky completed the preparation for the 2024/25 season with a record of three wins and two defeats.
The league will start on Saturday, August 17 at 14:00 with a match against Viktoria Plzeň on our home field in Horní Měcholupy. Entry is free, so don’t hesitate and come support us!
