“Slavic Bazaar” peripetias! Samanta’s outrage, the Latvian representative’s attempt and Kļaviņa’s opening speech

No 15.-18. The international music and art festival “Slavic Bazaar” will take place in Vitebsk, Belarus, from July 1, 2007. This year, Latvia will be represented by 21-year-old Julia Mayer. Jana Kļaviņa will also take the stage on the opening night, but Samanta Tīna does not hide her indignation about her photo contest on the website.

On the opening day of the competition, the local singer Samanta Tīna did not hide her indignation on the social network Instagram, finding her name and photo among the participants of the competition.

Almost all artists who have represented their countries or judged the members of the jury during the 30 years of the competition can be found in the participants section of the competition website.

Among Latvians, Samanta Tīna, Liene Greifāne, Diāna Paško, Lidija Breska and this year’s representative Jūlija Mayer can be seen on the page.

“Nobody has addressed me, I do not plan to go. Given the current situation, I do not support it. I participated in 2012. At the moment I am trying to contact so that the picture can be removed, ”says Samanta.

The musician also adds that Rūta Dūduma-Ķirse, the first representative of the country chosen this year, refused to participate in the competition, expressing her attitude. Samanta supports him and would do the same.

Despite the refusal, Latvia was not left without a representative, this year the honor of representing the country has been entrusted to the young singer Jūlija Mayer.

The singer has already tried her hand with an orchestra in an rehearsal, showing professionalism, great vocal skills and charisma. Participation in the “Slavic Bazaar” is the fulfillment of Julia’s childhood dream.-

Alexander Lukashenko always takes part in the opening ceremony of the “Slavic Bazaar”, giving a motivating speech and enjoying a concert of pop stars. Among the stage lights who will delight in the opening ceremony will also be Latvian Jana Kļaviņa. Jana will perform in a duo with musician Ruslan Alehno.
