“We said something right away on Sunday in the cabin. Then again on Tuesday, I think very emphatically,” the coach indicates how disillusioned he was.
“I absolutely missed our team’s emotions, stubbornness, desire to reverse the result. Of course, Pilsen played excellently, but from our side it was not what we are used to at home. Maybe for the first time in the six years we’ve been here,” Jindřich Trpišovský is not afraid to say.

It appeals to the mental side the most. “We said it to each other. We want to learn and not repeat it. We have to fight more for Slavia, for the jersey, the players feel that way. It cannot be excused that some emotional players have left us. We have to replace them,” emphasizes the coach.
The players have to agree with him. “As for the match with Pilsen, it is true. We ourselves felt that our performance went down, even though we played the game well. This can’t happen to us anymore. We are fighting on three fronts, we want to be successful on each,” adds Michal Tomič.
So far, Šišvani is certainly holding the second place behind AS Rome in the group. A comfortable position in the table therefore gives them the opportunity to focus more on the quality of the game.

“We mainly want to rehabilitate ourselves for Sunday, we feel that the performance was not good in terms of emotion and fighting. We owe a lot to ourselves and to the people. I’m waiting for a big game against a big team. It’s always about what your opponent will allow you to do. Yes, we want to bring out the best in us. So that our football can also be watched well,” agrees Trpišovský.
AS Roma may perceive the match as one of many, with a derby against Lazio waiting for them at the weekend. However, the people of Prague take the duel as a holiday.
“It’s a big match for all of Slavia, we appreciate it. I hope we play the way the fans want us to play, fly around the field on Thursday. It’s a really big game for everyone. We want to show a different face than we showed against Pilsen in the second half,” the coach says.
