“Slavia Prague Announces Mojmír Chytil as First Offensive Reinforcement from Sigma Olomouc”

Today Slavia Prague officially announced the arrival of the first offensive reinforcement, Mojmír Chytil. The attacker comes from Sigma Olomouc, to whom the player had several words in the farewell video.

Chytil’s transfer to Eden was already publicly discussed some Friday. Initially, it seemed that the transfer should be completed by the winter transfer window.

However, the clubs did not agree exactly on the terms at that time, the former forward of Hanák didn’t wear the stitched jersey until today.

Sigma Olomouc was almost his parent club, where he spent his entire professional career to date, apart from a one-year loan spell in Pardubice. It is so understandable that a touching farewell had to come.

The young striker in the blue jersey has been active since 2010, i.e. more than one full decade. Chytil’s value skyrocketed especially in this season, when the striker was an indispensable part of the lineup of coach Václav Jílek and others.

In this past league year, the player scored 12 goals and 1 goal assist, but he did a huge amount of work for the team, which decorated him the whole season.

Strong in physical battles, successful in headers, able to cover the ball above standard, this is just a short list of the player’s main strengths.

It will be very interesting to see how the team from Hané will do without Chytil at the point of attack. After all, a large part of the game plan was built on him.

Antonín Růsek, who represented Brno Zbrojovka before wearing the blue jersey, is a suitable option.

Unfortunately for the team from Androva Stadium, Růsek is dealing with numerous injuries this year. They have been limiting him from the regular dose of football since mid-March.

Looking at Eden in Prague, there is a question mark as to how much Chytil will be able to fit into Jindřich Trpišovský’s squad and fight with competition in the form of Václav Jurečka, Mick van Buren and others.
